Whereas in most studies, the goal is for those receiving treatment to have better results than the placebo group, the results of this study were particularly astounding. The placebo group not only didn’t get any benefits, they actually experienced a 1-1.3% decrease in bone density in the two areas checked. Meanwhile, the group receiving treatment saw a 3-6.7% increase in bone density.
Since not all collagen peptides produce the same effects, the researchers recommended further study.
